Night Market Alphabet Soup: A Sweaty, Sold-Out Recap

Night Market Alphabet Soup, a Pride night market held in downtown Cary, NC, brought out a sweltering crowd last weekend — and StitchedbyTempa could barely keep up with demand.

The towel that sold out in 90 minutes

The “OMG You Guys! I Never Said That” embroidered kitchen towel — featuring a stitched image of Jesus delivering the line — sold out within the first hour and a half of the event. Most attendees who arrived later in the night never got the chance to see it in person. More are in production now, so the towel remains available to order on the SbT snarky towels collection while restock continues.

Pride Progress hats were the first to go

Embroidered Pride Progress flag baseball hats were a top seller of the night, with purple hats selling out completely and the ponytail-style hats close behind. The hats are part of StitchedbyTempa’s Pride collection, designed for year-round wear rather than a single season.

The 1900s tee strikes again

The “Please Be Patient With Me, I Am From the 1900s” embroidered t-shirt continued its streak as a market favorite — only two shirts remained by the end of the event. Several customers placed custom color orders so the shirt could be gifted in the exact shade their recipient would choose.

A $1K milestone moment

The event also included a personal milestone worth celebrating: StitchedbyTempa crossed $1,000 in gross sales for the event — a marker of how steadily the snarky towel and Pride-driven product lines have grown.

Thank you, Cary

Despite the heat, Night Market Alphabet Soup delivered one of the warmest crowds StitchedbyTempa has vended for this year. StitchedbyTempa’s next stop is Out! Raleigh Pride on June 27 in downtown Raleigh.

Shop the snarky towels collection, Pride collection, or the 1900s tee before the next sellout.
